So Canada. Is wonderful. This is one of those strange places where you can momentarily step out of the world and out of time itself, into a place that is neverchanging. It is beautiful and green and full of unknown adventures; just this year Erica and I discovered a part of our property we had never explored before. Here we can be children again; we can laugh and play and read whatever we’d like – we are momentarily free from our life-altering decisions. Here we find peace and confidence in the cool swing of the hammock beneath the trees, quiet strength in the stirrings of the early mornings. Here there is magic – magic as you run beaneath the forests’ branches, as you lay in the meadow, as you walk among the horses in the pasture. It’s like music, the kind that rises and falls with the wind and finds it’s melody in the whisperings of our quiet lake. There is magic, and music, and beauty here – oh such beauty. The kind that redeems your heart and washes your eyes so that you might have a glimpse of it all; a glimpse of thousands of stars, perfectly reflected in the glassy surface below. A glimpse of the power as we watch the storms roll in from the north. A glimpse of the wonder and awe in every creation. I close my eyes and sigh as I think about the feeling of being here; it is indescribable.
